1. Do I have to register?
To provide the best customer experience, everyone must pre-register for all fitness and recreation programs. Youth Drop-in basketball participants still require the completion of a waiver. Once completed, youth can drop-in whenever; There is no fee. Adult Drop-In Sports don't have registration, but you must bring your drop-in fee in cash.
2. Why is there a registration deadline? What happens if I miss it, but still want my child to participate?
The purpose of the registration deadline is to provide the instructor with a general idea of how many students to expect for the program. This helps with planning and set-up. The deadline also provides us with an idea of whether or not there will be enough participation to make the class feasible to run. If you have missed the deadline, please contact us immediately to verify if the program is running, and to see if we can offer a pro-rated rate.
3. Is there a minimum number of registrations required for the class to run?
Each class will require a minimum of registrants in order to run. if the threshold is not met, you will be notified prior to the class start date and will be issued a refund.
4. Can I register after the class start date?
If you have missed the deadline, please contact us immediately to verify if the program is running, and to see if we can offer a pro-rated rate.
5. Can I drop-in?
Drop-ins are now welcome for select programs. View the program descriptions for drop-in availability. Registration for youth programs is required. There will be no drop-in or punch pass options.
6. How do I register?
Registration can be done in person at the Aquatic & Fitness Centre or by calling 780-632-6403.
7. Where do classes take place?
Recreation classes will take place in the gymnasium located at the Vegreville Centennial Library.
Most fitness classes will be run out of the upstairs studio or the squash court at the Aquatic & Fitness Centre.
8. I registered my child for a class, they tried it, but didn't like it. What happens now?
In this case, we will credit the remaining amount to your account. You will be able to use this money to sign up for other classes, courses, memberships, etc. However, please note, that if you register for a class, do not attend, and we are half way or more through the class’s timeline, you will not be eligible for a credit to your account.
9. My child is running late for a class, how late is too late?
They can join in upon their arrival. The only exception will be yoga classes, where no late arrivals will be permitted.
10. I want to register myself or my child for a class, but will not be able to make all the sessions, what do I do?
There is no minimum requirement for attendance once registered.
11. My child has never done this type of program before; can they still join?
Absolutely. The instructor will ensure the environment is inclusive!
12. Why do I need to fill out a waiver for my child for every program?
Filling out a waiver helps us ensure you are informed of all details as well as contributes to the tracking of the program.
13. I can't stay for the duration of the class, can my child still attend?
There is no requirement for parents to stay during the youth programs.
