Opportunity for leisure skating, not intended for training such as ice hockey, figure skating, or drills.

*Sticks, rings, and pucks are not permitted on the ice.

Arena does have skate aid equipment for use.

A Recreation Facility Pass Includes access to Public Skate, Puck and Play, and Shinny  

Public Skating Drop-In rates are as follows:

• Child (4-12) $4.50
• Student (13-17/ Uni) $7.00
• Adult $7.00
• Senior $5.25

Intended for development to work on basic hockey skills. It is not intended for formal groups or hockey teams, formal team coaching is not permitted. 

Opportunity to practice passing, stick handling, and shooting skills.

There are NO organized games/shinny during this time.

Opportunity to have a scrimmage/pick-up game informally.

Shinny players are recommended to wear full hockey equipment* (CSA-certified hockey helmet, skates, neck guard, hockey pants, support cup, hockey gloves, shin/elbow/shoulder pads, and regulation hockey stick).

Helmets are required for all participants.

• Outdoor Rink on 47 Street

*The Parks, Recreation, & Facilities Department regularly checks the ice conditions of the outdoor rinks and puts signs and barricades out if the ice is not safe for use. Please obey all signs and barricades warning of poor ice conditions.
