Who is eligible to run?
To become a municipal candidate, you must be at least 18 years of age on nomination day, a Canadian citizen, and must have been a resident of the Town of Vegreville for the six consecutive months preceding Nomination Day.

Where can I file nomination papers?
Nomination forms can be filed at the Town Administration Office with the Deputy Returning Officer. Please email election@vegreville.com for an appointed time to file.
Is there a nomination fee?
The Town of Vegreville does not charge a fee to run for Council.
Can I withdraw my nomination?
Candidates may withdraw their nomination at any time during the nomination period and up to 24 hours after the close of the nomination period.
